Догоняя традицию. Возможна ли гармония между традиционными ценностями и субъектом модерна?

Аннотация

Статья посвящена осмыслению нарастающих противоречий между процессами социальной модернизации и необходимостью сохранения традиционных ценностей российского общества. Демонстрируется неубедительность попыток представить русскую цивилизацию как избегающую исторической тенденции к индивидуализации и автономизации субъекта эпохи модерна. Вместе с тем автор обосновывает контрпродуктивность дихотомического противопоставления традиции и модерна, предлагая рассматривать их как взаимодополняющие элементы развития. Обосновывается тезис, согласно которому упадок традиционных ценностей обусловлен не столько «осовремениванием» общества, сколько неспособностью достичь такого состояния, при котором семья и общество были бы не препятствиями, а условием личностной самореализации для большинства. Соответственно ключевой вывод статьи заключается в том, что модерн не успевает за традицией, а не наоборот. Укреплять традиционные ценности можно не только путем апелляций к архаике, но преж­де всего «ускоряя» модерн: например, предоставляя инструменты прямого волеизъявления большинству, а не «прогрессистским» меньшинствам и стремясь к ликвидации материальных и психологических издержек, связанных с материнством в эпоху, когда социальные ожидания перестают соответствовать персональным ресурсам.
