Publication Ethics
The journal “Patria” in its publication ethics proceeds from the provisions established by the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers of Russia in the Declaration “Ethical Principles of Scientific Publications”, as well as from the recommendations of the Committee on Ethics of Scientific Publications.
From the Journal:

Journal “Patria” does not charge authors for publications.

The journal does not allow copyright infringement, libel, plagiarism (including self-plagiarism), falsification of materials and other violations of scientific ethics.

Works under review in other publications are not accepted for review.
-
Only original works not previously published in other editions are accepted for publication.

The decision to publish is made on the basis of peer review and the norms of scientific ethics, as well as legal norms.
-
The evaluation of the received materials is carried out without bias on racial, ethnic, gender, religious and other grounds.

The journal conducts the procedure of double-blind review of the received material, as well as verification in the anti-plagiarism system.
-
Reviewing is carried out by qualified experts.
-
The decision on publication is made within 2-3 months.
-
The journal does not transfer information about the materials to third parties, except for the editorial board and reviewers - except for cases when the author agrees to transfer these materials.

In case the publication does not meet the basic requirements for scientific papers, the editorial board of the journal reserves the right to reject it based on its own decision and without providing a review.

The material can be withdrawn from publication in case of fabrication of data, falsification of materials or unjustified borrowings.

The material can be withdrawn both during the editing process and after publication if the facts stated in it turned out to be unreliable.

If the material was withdrawn after publication, the article is removed from the journal (including the journal website) and scientific databases where it was published.

Notification of the article withdrawal is published in the next issue of the Journal.
From the Author:

The author undertakes to send for review only those materials that are not under review in other publications.

The author is obliged to guarantee the originality of his/her research - absence of plagiarism or/and self-plagiarism, falsification.

The author, who wants to publish his research, is obliged to disclose its relevance and objectivity, as well as to guarantee the accuracy of the research results.

Citation of other authors is made in accordance with the rules of the journal “Patria”.

The author must indicate the names of all those who contributed to the study, either including them in the list of co-authors or thanking them in the text of the study.

If the article is co-authored, the author is obliged to obtain the consent of all co-authors for the final version of the text to be prepared for publication.

If during the review or after the publication of the article the author found significant inaccuracies or errors in the text, he must notify the editorial board.
From the Reviewer:

The reviewer is obliged to guarantee the level of his/her qualification and compliance with the review deadlines established by the journal.

If non-compliance with these requirements is detected during the review, the reviewer is obliged to inform the editorial board and refuse to review the material.

The reviewer undertakes not to discuss the reviewed study with anyone except the persons who are members of the editorial board.

The reviewer undertakes not to use the information obtained during the review for his/her own benefit.

The reviewer undertakes to put forward impartial and reasonable comments, guided by objective scientific criteria for evaluating the article: compliance with the journal profile; novelty, relevance and significance of the research; reliability of the results.
The journal strictly monitors that the published articles do not contain plagiarism, so we ask authors to be attentive to the design of references, citations and to indicate all the authors of the submitted materials. In accordance with the editorial policy, the presence of plagiarism in the submitted material makes it impossible to publish this text, as well as other articles of the author in the journal in the future.
Authors who publish with Patria journal agree to the following terms:
1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
In the issue of ethical principles of the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), the journal "Patria" adheres to the principles outlined in Elsevier Generative AI policies for journals, as well as the policy on the use of generative artificial intelligence in the teaching process, developed by the School of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (version of 03.11.2023).
